De asemenea cele 30 de actiuni Sensex s-au vandut la o cota de 15,550.99, dup ace au pendulat intre 15,224.82 si 15,568.85, in timp ce Nifty a crescut 1.9 procente. BSE Bankex a crescut cu 1.2 procente si intre companiile de bunuri pe capital Larsen & Toubro si BHEL au urcat cu 5-7%. Recession, or being close to recession, or something like a recession, inflation, rates, cuts, consumption, deficient consumption, crises, weak U.S. dollar, expensive oil, insufficient national output, Dow Jones index decreasing, Wall Street announcing bad news, etc. Words like those became common, you could find them in newspapers, TV news, everywhere. And now experts say that it's not only American economy that is not doing good, also the Americans feels that they are not doing good, they are not satisfied with current situation and worry about what can happen.I don't think it's such a surprise. When you are surrounded by bad news, nobody can expect you to be careless what's going on. And it's maybe even worse because of the fact that few years ago people wouldn't have imagined that they would worry about economics, about prices or being short of money. Have they done something wrong? They just wonder why yesterday it was so easy and favorable to borrow some money and today for some reason they have problems with paying their loans back. They work really hard, they got paid and they realize that their paychecks are not enough, that the prices of some products increased and only little money left to pay all the dues. And they are afraid of losing their jobs as their employers are affected by the recession or something like recession as well. Will they be able to pay for their insurance? Medical care? As millions other people all around the world, usual American doesn't understand exactly words like recession, or something like recession, inflation, consumption, etc. Unless you are an economist, it's difficult to understand all that thing called economy. And what's much more worse, maybe there's somebody who can explain to you what it's all about, but is there anybody who can explain how to survive it without any significant damage?

If presidential candidates have approached the economy subject, let us see what happens on Wall Street after the last quarter of 2007 has been made public and the rumors about an economic slowdown were confirmed. Most of the indicators fell like The Standard & Poor's 500 index that went down 1.15 percent, while Nasdaq sank 1.87 percent and The Russell 2000 index fell 1.38 percent. This time even bond prices fell and the benchmark 10-year Treasury note got to 3.52 percent and the consolidated volume decreased 0.09 billion. Furthermore, the Dow Jones lost more than 100 points; Oracle slipped 7.2 percent and Google 3.1 percent raising concerns about technology sector and its stocks. Last week Bear Stearns Cos. scared the investors being on the verge of collapse but due to Fed's help it managed to sell liquidity to JPMorgan Chase & Co. Afterwards analysts say that there has been a better forecast for the economy as dollar won ground against foreign currencies, the gold prices slipped, the Labor Department's report show a decrease in the number of those seeking employment, Lennar and DR Horton Inc rose with over 30 cents, while KB Home increased to $25.79. In spite of the discourse of the Fed's officials where it was mentioned recession and restraints of Wall Street's regulations, the market has not been changed. Still the light sweet oil increased to $107.58 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Don't go away, more to come!
