Greece is generating crucial moments among Eurozone members, EU politicians and financial markets all over the world. While Greek government has passed tough reduction package despite the largest public protests during past 20 years and European politics have been doing everything possible to stop the nervousity of world markets to save the image of common currency, it seems that the control of overseas financial decisions is impossible. As for American Wall Street, its major index Dow Jones came through turbulent days last week. It has lost almost 1,000 points in less than 90 minutes on Thursday. Dow Jones fell 998.50 points as the largest point drop ever. It broke the rec! ord from Oct. 2008 when one day loss totalled 780.87 points. Few moments before closing bell it recovered 347 points. Here, more than anywhere one could see irrational instability of financial markets. Indexes are sharply increasing as well as they are decreasing. There is no sense of balance like before. But some of analysts say that the only catalyst wasn't just Greek problems, but also machines controlling Wall Street. Let's tak a look on the process.2:20 p.m. Dow Jones was loosing 400 points. The next seven minutes the loss deepened another 600 points. 3:09 p.m. Dow Jones recovered 700 points. From that moment until the end it fluctuated sharply. Charlie Smith, chief investment officier at Fort Pitt Capital Group said it was the example of so called “automated trading” that is working and its major part is not independent on human actions on the markets. But it shouldn't be the only reason for this.
